I work with Better,com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.

in CA any other recomended LE i should look for besides Loan depot, loan cabin, owning, & better?

235k balance 30yr looking for. I see rates as low as 2.625 but with 2pts.

My credit just posted as of this morning. It is dated for June 15th. For reference, I funded on May 6th so today is day 61. I'm so excited I may do this all over again lol!

I finally bailed on Better. The bifurcated appraisal was a disaster and my appeal took a month and was unsuccessful. The appraiser was from another state, relied on 3rd party (awful) pictures, and knew nothing about the neighborhood. I'm dissapointed to lose out on the $2,500 credit but I still nailed down a 2.875% loan with a $3k lender credit and have an appraisal waiver (Keystone Funding).

The offer only goes for the next couple of weeks. You should put in an app before that date. Some folks have said they will only leave the app open for 30 days, but they left mine open for several months without any action.

I dont know if its just or me for everyone, i got LE from Loan Cabin, but there section C price is really exaggerated (~$3200), so when I couldn't get better to match the price again (am almost near closing).
(they were making me buy points(thus matching a+b+c) to match the Loan Cabin rate)

I assume their low appraisal resulted in an unfavorable loan offer/Better not allowing those terms?

I had better match with hightechlending 15 years 2.5 % with $1071 lender credit + will get the $2500 from Amex. The rate was locked last week and I submitted all my asset information etc and was been told today I am conditionally approved and no action needed as the financial documents look all good.

The processing expert sent me an email this morning asking if I had a better LE to match Smilie, I thought since I provided the initial LE and as they matched it I was done but it looks like I can still look for better rates and send them another LE.

Loan cabin doesn't service Oregon so I didn't check, most of the other lenders all are having points for 2.5% 15 years if there is any better lender I can try please let me know.

I have a AMEX everyday credit card but I don't see this offer in my account. This would have been a killer deal though.

I'm should be losing on my 15 year refi here in the next couple of weeks. I am sure my current lender would have been pissed after they did all these steps and I left.

Has anyone been able to do this again after doing it once?

Rates have dropped so much I am thinking about refinancing the home I closed in December on.
