EDIT information from Better.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello,
I work with Better, com and wanted to see if you could please add in the following information to your post on Amex/Better,com deal as it reads incorrect as it stands, especially regarding eligibility. We want to make sure the offer is stated as accurately as possible:
1) Mortgage rates of any specific customer, stated or otherwise, should not be taken as indicative of a mortgage rate available to all customers. Pricing is based on a number of factors, including the individual credit profile of a potential borrower.
2) The offer is only available to those borrowers who have been marketed to directly by American Express, and those who have not received the offer on their Amex portal or via email are not eligible.

FYI. If you have not looked into it yet then try
https://costcofinance.com. They connect you with multiple lenders online. Very easy process.
If you are an executive member then max lender fee (A) is $350 on your estimate or $650 if you are gold star. (B )depends if you need appraisal and (C ) is fixed like that for any other lender and depends on states. So give or take (A+B+C) is $3-4K in loan cost. Very likely there will be some sort of lender credit to offset some of your closing cost. In my case their rates came out to be better than any lender I spoke with and Better couldn't match. Even after $2500 Amex discount , it was more expensive to go with better. Refi 70% of home value, amount 410k @ 2.99%, 30 yr, and about $200 in my pocket after lender credit. I am likely locking with them.
Weird, better got me 2.75% with $3379 credit (A+B+C= 1114) and then $2500 AMEX

Has anyone tried to contact Amex and see if the statement credit can be deposited into a linked bank account?

Shortly after that i got a notification to select closing date, which was as soon as 3 days after that. You may be fine

Has anyone had any luck with calling when your concierage and processor weren't there and having them connect you to a manager for a price match? The rep on the phone suggested it last night but he couldn't get a manager. I sent a loan cabin LE on Thursday, my processor said she would get back to me ASAP and now they are out until Monday for the weekend.

How were you able to use your wife card? Did you just give them your wife's card, and $2500 appeared?
When you get to the point where they ask for the last four digits of your Amex, I chose her as the cardholder and typed in her card number. Maybe I'm not understanding the question ...

I got an estimate from LoanDepot
2.75% 30Year A+B+C = $3230, E+F+G+H = $9200
How can I reduce these amounts

I scheduled a call with Sean from better.com..
