Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

Rate lock on the 9th
Appraisal ordered on 9th. Appraiser came to inspect on 14th
Title ordered on 10th (not using better for title)
Underwriting conditionally approved on 13th
I didn't expect them to move this fast given the re-fi rush.
Thats what I did and they confirmed that Better put an order already.

Did you get a quote anywhere else like fidelity (lowest I found so far)? Is Radian cheaper? I can't go in blindly with Radian and set everything up not knowing what it'll cost in the end. TIA.

Yes, I got a 2160 quote from them vs Radian being at about 1600. See if you can get a hold of their customer service agent or email them to get a quote:

Funny, I got a LE in email just a few minutes back but the numbers do not line up to what the original quoted numbers were:
1. I see an Origination Fee which was quoted as "No closing cost"
2. I see only a $3000 credit vs $3500.
Those 2 amount to almost a $2000 increase in charges and would not be what was quoted
Shahhere
PS. If others cannot confirm what was quoted and on the LE i'll take them off the top of my list on the thread as those are the type of lenders I want to put out from the list, unless there is a good reason for it.
PPS. I see what they are trying to do by only giving me $3000 to offset my costs as I has an estimated cost of title for $1600....they added the Origination fee in to offset the credit essentially lol wth.

Compare to High Tech Home Loans, which was much better and forth coming. I got my LE with the Disclosure and everything right away. Their A, B, C and everything was straight forward.
Did you apply or is this before? Did you lock?
I had an okay time for them to "try" to match as it was exact but better than their first offer. Others have had better luck after locking and moving along the process.
You dont lose anything in applying and going deeper in the process with more than 1 lender in this market; especially since they all want 45-60 day closings.
I doubt it as thats the downside of dropping a lender and even locking a rate as you might not be able to proceed for another 6 or so months with them or them not working with you in the future (assumption).

It was asked above, but I'm wondering if anyone did it before, and just closed one.
Anyway, mine is an investment property so it is a little different. Watermark gave the best so far (3.375%, no cost, no escrow). They also offer 3% with $2500 cost, but I figure if rate keeps going down, I can refinance again in 6 months.
