Notary and closing
Here is what you can expect or ask for from my experience:
1. New pen for signing wiped thoroughly
2. Pen stays with you after signing
3. Only material they will touch would be your ID
4. ID would be wiped and returned back
5. Can expect gloves to be worn
6. Signing can happen in your front yard or in your garage
7. If you have a Costco table then you can sit on either sides to maintain distancing
8. Masks might be recommended given new guidelines
9. Plus discuss with the notary!!

Started June 29th and closing 8 AM on July 11th
Matched - 2.25% for 15 year..... 425$ (A+B+C - lender credit) before the $2500 amex credit.....
If it helps anyone. I was given a "Right of Notice to Cancel" until midnight 15th July on the 11th July when I signed the closing documents. There was a mandatory 3 business day waiting (13, 14, and 15 July).
Here is the notice on federal reserve website form H-9 [federalreserve.gov]

The interest you pay each month is exactly what the current rate is on your current balance. Amortization tables might seem like they are front loading interest. They are not. When you own a high number, you current interest is high. All the amort. table does is figure out how many and how much you need to pay to eventually get to zero.
A real loan does this.
Take the current balance. Apply the current interest. Apply the payment. Anything ABOVE the interest cost is then applied to principle.
Not sure? do a simple spreadsheet and see.
A refinance at even a quarter percent is a good deal - unless the cost do so is high. If you save $40 a month, then you just figure out how many months until you have paid back those "closing costs" and after that you are ahead.
