When you request Better to match competing loan estimates, no need to mention anything about AMEX offer. Simply send them the LE within 1 day and ask them to match/beat it, and persistently follow-up with your Better loan officer/concierge/processing expert.

To be eligible for AMEX credit, you ether need to have signed up through the AMEX link OR ask your Better contact to make sure that it is added/tagged onto your account/loan. I signed up through the link and it was automatic. Even if you sign up through the link it is a good idea to confirm with Better that your loan is eligible for the credit.

Does anyone know if i can start application for 2 properties on same account and receive two Amex credits of $2500 or should it be done separately?

Question about float down. I originally locked with better on 6/24. Since that time I have moved on my rate table and had them match a competitor but again my original lock was 6/24. How does float down work? Is it based off of what the published rates were on the day of lock Vs the day of float down? How would I check to see if I would be float down eligible based on the rates? Do I have to specifically request a float down? When is "too late" to do that? Thanks

Thanks. That's helpful and puts my offer in about the same ballpark. I'm at 45% LTV and refinanced 2 months ago through Better at 3.125% jumbo and was quoted for 2.99% if I paid down to conforming at that time.
