Amazon late deliveries

Anyone else getting tired of Amazon missing delivery dates. I have had quite a few items that showed as out for delivery that had not even shipped. UPS packages coming on a Sunday etc..

I have a Christmas tree that was supposed to be delivered on the 7th that UPS does not even show as having received the tree. USPS was supposed to deliver a wireless charging stand on the 7th now it is just delayed but not coming today. I purchased it as a one off repackaged item from the Whse so I do want the item but not a cancellation.

Anyone else getting punked by Amazon delivery promises?

I ordered a replacement 3rd brake light for the camper shell I bought the day before Turkey day.

It was sold via Amazon, but the seller shipped it themselves via DHL...it *might* make it by tomorrow, Tuesday the 10th.

All the other stuff that Amazon sold or fulfilled made it on time or a day early that I bought on BF.

Amazon vans are delivering on at least two different shifts in my area. UPS and USPS are terrible about last-mile delivery when it's an Amazon package.

Well, they do drive right by the address while hitting the GPS and calling it an "attempted delivery."

tree is now supposed to be delivered a week late on the 13th Amazon says it if not delivered by the 11th I can cancel the next day and I will be cancelling it. I order a lot of stuff from Amazon and I expect they delivery dates to be honored unless there is weather. UPS did not even show they picked the tree up when the company was saying it was supposed to be delivered three days later now it will be 10 days later. We had snow here in Denver for 1 day so 2 days should be the delay tops!

cancelled tree they are supposed to be sending me a return label, ordered another 2 day prime here on Thursday it seems if it is not shipped by Amazon the sellers have no clue as far as shipping goes.

Yep...ordered a pair of Apple ear pods in one of the slick deals here. Showed on the UPS site they were in my town a few days ahead of schedule. Then out of the blue I get an email saying they were "running late" since they were routed by UPS to a different location...WTF!! They did finally arrive a week late.

Just the opposite for me. I recently ordered several items on a Wednesday and at the time of the order it showed delivery on Sunday. I was skeptical because I have never seen a Sunday delivery here. I fully expected to not see the stuff until the next Monday. Instead it all arrived two days early on Friday.

UPDATE:

It was delayed (again) and FINALLY made it yesterday 12/11/2019.

It went via DHL and then handed off to USPS for the last 100 miles. ( I was actually happy when it got bounced to USPS )

As to the part itself...It's the perfect wedge fit for the notch LEAR puts into the camper shell.
So I'm happy about that. Sadly as I got the old light out and the silicone removed, the rain started and no I wait for it to be dry enough to mount the light.

Exactly this. I've found that Amazon pretty reliably gets the package out, but if they're using multiple services to deliver, there seems to always be a delay on the handoff and then the second carrier, usually USPS, is in no rush to deliver. Amazon seems to expect that a last mile delivery will take 1 day simply because they got it to a local post office, but if it's not priority mail or some other pricier service (which it isn't), they are under no obligation to get it to you quickly.

I do think the carriers themselves are working incredibly hard. I've been getting packages at 7am when I walk out the door to as late as 8pm at night.

My neighbor Delivers for FedEx and the drivers are on a mandatory 6 AM start time for all of December.

This is the first December where we've had problems with items arriving late and I suspect a lot of it is due to the terrible snow/ice storms that have been hitting most of the USA.

So had 2 funny things happen, I ordered 2 king size pillows and they are being delivered on two different days?

Also my Christmas tree that came 13 days late was so late it split via mitosis and became 2 trees now working with the company to pay some extra $$ and keep the second instead of them paying for shipping back to them.
