Amazon late deliveries

Anyone else getting tired of Amazon missing delivery dates. I have had quite a few items that showed as out for delivery that had not even shipped. UPS packages coming on a Sunday etc..
I have a Christmas tree that was supposed to be delivered on the 7th that UPS does not even show as having received the tree. USPS was supposed to deliver a wireless charging stand on the 7th now it is just delayed but not coming today. I purchased it as a one off repackaged item from the Whse so I do want the item but not a cancellation.
Anyone else getting punked by Amazon delivery promises?

I do think the carriers themselves are working incredibly hard. I've been getting packages at 7am when I walk out the door to as late as 8pm at night.
Frickin' USPS just flat out lies about making delivery attempts. Amazon should stop using them altogether.

I attribute it to a higher duty (more deliveries), which I can understand, but don't put in some bullshit like there's a blizzard 15 miles away while it's 40 and sunny at my house.

I've had generally horrible luck with USPS for this purpose. I've had times where a package was listed as delivered but instead showed up 2 or 3 days later. In one case I had an S&S delivery listed as delivered.... within a few days of no-show I called Amazon and complained, they shipped the lot out again, and it was delivered, then the original shipment showed up like 11 or 12 days later. Not sure if it was just kicking in a corner or what.
I've also had a slew of horrible package placements. I have a covered porch, so it would make sense to put packages there, as far back from the end of the roof as possible, but instead they like to put them toward the edge (where they still get rained on), or in the middle of the walk or even smack in the middle of the driveway.
Maybe a big building, with hundreds of stores, and a food court, an arcade, a movie theater, and we could walk around and shop.
Those were the days.
