Says FHD on the walmart page but some of you are saying IPS screen, if you change from the rose gold is the black the same specs? also some users said they got 6 gigs of ram instead of 8, can someone confirm these please? And backlit keyboard for sure? About to return my i5 lenovo flex 14 that I paid $450 for and jump on this. Only need it to last a year til next BF.

The word "quality" is probably not the first thing users think of when purchasing Walmart-branded products. Indeed, the **plastic** Motile M142 is simply no match when up against the likes of an XPS 13, HP Spectre 13, Asus ZenBook S13, Lenovo Yoga C930, or Acer Swift 7 in terms of looks or rigidity. Its lid in particular flexes too easily and the hinges feel like they'll be ready to call it quits after just a year or two.

I saw that. If the surfaces are plastic, it's the most premium, metal-like plastic I've ever felt.

Would this be good enough to write the novel I've wanted to write for years, but have been saying "I need a new laptop to write a novel" but will probably still not write?

Jokes aside, I'm not a pc gamer but loved Age of Empires as a child. I could see myself wanting this. Also, I use this software that I can install personal edition of. It runs on Apache Tomcat and requires 8gb Ram. Being single channel, will this run "ok" if I upgrade to 16ram?

Owners in the older thread mention that it is an IPS panel and that it has 8GB of ram, 6GB of it that is usable since the Graphics uses the other 2GB of ram.
