haha, be advised if you ordered it yesterday for $349, they won't price match.
So I ordered a second one this morning for $299, and I'll return the $349 one.

Both are being delivered on Friday lol. You think they'd wan't to save some money on shipping, but whatever...
Weird. They lost one that I purchased last week. The R3 I got for $245 was set to be delivered today, but was delayed until tomorrow so I cancelled and got this, to be delivered tomorrow.

do you think we could then return the mouse and bag for $72? ($60 for the bag and $12 for the mouse) Heck I'd take a gift card back if I was basically getting a $72 gift card for an extra $13 bucks

Edit: may have been answered in this thread already but over 250 comments is A LOT to comb through in a hurry at work
Nope-been fixed.

For $300 this is worth a try. Also, buy with a card that has extended warranty, if you have one.

Anyone know how the Vega 8 benchmarks compare to integrated Intel?
It's easily way better than intel graphics.

Looking to upgrade to 16gb (2 x 8gb).
Would this recent FP deal work on the Motile?

There's only one RAM slot, so no.

I too have that sick Asus ZenBook UX360 model, which I got it from Microsoft for $500 + tax. It failed in a year and had to sent it to Asus where they replaced pretty much everything. After about a year, it failed again! Bummer. There are few users having similar issues with the Asus ZenBook and I am glad it's still working for you.

So, when you compare this Motile to Asus ZenBook, what are your impressions? Is it built better than the Asus? I don't care about the looks much but the pictures look wonderful. I need it to last at least 3 - 4 years.
I had got the same $500 Asus from MS store about 3 yrs ago. I think both that and the Motile feel like quality machines. Asus does have more KB flex than this. Both my Asus and Motile haven't had any issues. I don't think it's worth upgrading anything on the Motile as the marginal gains from 16GB RAM or NVMe drive probably arent worth it, and you may not notice much wifi difference outside of large downloads (eg games from Steam). I had gone with the R3 version previously, and replaced the 4GB with an 8GB stick of RAM.

Thanks and appreciate the info.

What about extra M2 slot? Did you fill it with a NVMe drive? If so, which one?
I did put in an NVMe drive, but it was a Slickdeal that I got a few months ago - it's the OEM version of the Samsung 970 but really any NVMe drive should work...

Who actually has this laptop in person? Does it feel cheap? Is it snappy? mine says it's gonna take a week for the free delivery don't know why so long I have a Lenovo flex 14 with an i5 and fingerprint scanner I got for $450 I don't know if the Lenovo name and the NVME and actual 8 gigs of usable ram is worth the extra $150 over this. Only used for work but multiple chrome and Firefox tabs open and some light gaming like magic arena and movie/music downloads.

Was afraid that might be the case. Thanks. Still probably worth the additional $13 just for the power bank with built in wireless charging. Don't have a use for the bag or mouse but I could probably throw those on letgo and get $20 so I'll probably go that route

I will state, that the machine itself was good for the price point.

Again I bought and returned before any drivers were posted. I may try again, but re-install windows from scratch now that we are able to. I am not the only one to get a lemon (I mean we can all see the reviews on the walmart site).

But do note, it is not quality, but it value for the price point.

It runs slower than it should (benchmark it, I did, and there are others out there). It comes in slower than that CPU should. Possibly slow BUS speeds on the MB and/or RAM, I don't know why.

If $300 netbook/chromebook is the comparison, this is a win, assuming you don't have issues like some people (including me) have had. You definitely get more for the money.

For my review, when it worked, it was a good machine for cheap. Network was slower than I'm used to (all my other machines have 2x2). Keyboard was looser than I liked, touchpad was surprisingly good though. Viewing angles, for an IPS screen, were subpar. But if you don't want people looking at what you're doing, probably good. You cannot charge via the USB-C port, a drawback.

Like I said, assuming you don't get a bad one, it's a good value for the money.
