This seems like a great deal on a laptop...I just wish the comments were written in average computer user language. Reading through this thread makes me feel like I'm trying to read Chinese. Props to all of you who are super wizards with computers, but at this point I really have no clue if this laptop is good as is for the majority or if I need to take a crash course on soldering RAM, Dim, SATA, benchmarks, Ryzen, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, DP on the C, and on and on.

Riddle me this:
Is this fine out of the box to run Office software, browse the web, and watch copious amounts of pron (the only DP I understand)...and can I Miracast it to the big screen TV so I can truly feel as inadequate as possible while watching🤣
I'll make it very easy for you...

BUY IT!

I've been holding out from last month's deals, but count me in on this deal.

Can someone confirm if this is really plastic material? Im guessing it is due to the crazy light weight for a 14"

It's not plastic, I first thought so too.

As per this THX website, it is "a magnesium aluminum chassis" and NOT plastic.

No, you would want a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, at least GeForce 1030 or mx150. It'll play "Esports" games though, like DOTA or League of Legends.

Would this be good for a arcade machine, (mame, nes etc)? Going to either dual boot into ubunto, retropie or Windows and launchbox/bigbox.

Just got the laptop...can't really play overwatch. Too choppy.
Vega 8 should actually run overwatch. But in "This case" it's got a major single-channel handicap.

Why do you need to even swap drive? just get another one and return with the older receipt. It's identical box and bar code

Each individual PC or lappy has an unique serial number. This is a common sense, right? The serial number should also be located on a label somewhere on the box. Correct me if I am wrong.

Can anyone confirm if virtualization is possible on these? That's the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger. Sorry for double post!
