To enter the BIOS, keep pressing the DELETE key during the boot up

So Sound Blaster Connect was loaded, but everytime I open it, it says your audio device cant be connected.

Anyone else have this problem? My audio works just fine, so I'm not sure why Sound Blaster cant detect my audio device.

Any ideas?

Also, I've been bench marking some games and I'm quite impressed with this machine. It can comfortably play both Path of Exile and Dota 2. :-) Granted, it can get hot, so I'm not sure about its cooling, but it works.

Anyone noticed that the power button LED is glowing when the laptop is on? Shouldn't the LED stay solid instead?

Fn+ F5 changes between Basic mode and Silent mode fan speed.
This does have a small difference on multicore cpu benchmarks.
Maybe also battery life when on battery?
Also you can tell which mode you are in by looking at the led light on the power button: solid is basic mode, slow blinking is silent mode.

I am in the same boat as well...went through the process in installing and don't see much of a difference after turning Vari-Bright off.

Also, I am getting random freezes on mine now. Either the screen goes black after a while but the keyboard lights are still on or the screen is on and it just freezes up. I am wondering if it is worth keeping and messing with BIOS update or should I just return it and run fast, fast away from it. Thoughts?
I was on the edge of returning the laptop too, but updated drivers and Radeon software as well as bios helped with the random freezes. However after those updates the backlit keyboard function keys don't seem to adjust anymore not a big deal I like it's default brightness anyways. Other than that it's been well after those updates.

Did you try toggle between silent and basic mode?

not in service...Support number: 1-877-435-7955
same goes for # Walmart just gave me...1-877-435-7955
Try the overpowered support line and email. The earlier units had the overpowered phone number listed for support. When I emailed them, they also confirmed they were doing support for Motile.

I couldn't change screen brightness., The function F11 abd F12 didn't work. And control panel->display didn't have the slide bar to change the brightness. The screen stuck at full brightness. Anyone got this problem?

i checked "event viewer" for my wireless mouse issue and saw this "warning"...
Bluetooth HID device either went out of range or became unresponsive.
any thought on why? is the trackpad interrupting connection?

Same issue with me. Someone asked me to click on the audio icon on right bottom and select troubleshoot audio issues. I think different audio devices came up and THX Spatial Out was selected. I selected the different output. Did not help

So I got it working by downloading the audio drivers from the motile website.

I installed the audio drivers from http://www.motilecustomerservice.com/ The setup.exe uninstalled the installed driver and after restart installed the driver. Still no luck. I think it was working earlier. Though I am not sure

Hmm interesting. I reinstalled the os, win 10 auto detected audio, installed the sound blaster app, then installed the driver from the motile site. After that the sound blaster app worked.

I didn't necessarily do it back to back. It was done as I had time to go through the setup of the laptop.
