This was $839 new two days ago during Acer's Holiday Sale. I guess if you missed that and don't mind recertified this is the way to go.

I currently have an refurb Acer Aspire 5 that I got for cheap on the Ebay Acer deal. Looks and runs like new. Only used for some basic functions but no issues so far. Would buy again.

don't have recertified experience, but i have this laptop from black friday and it's a beast. great value for the money. loud fans though, even at idle so that might bother some. edits 4k video like butter and games very nicely at 1080p! storage is definitely an issue but it has 2 additional spots for upgrades and its easy to get inside this laptop.

Yes, I bought an Acer X34 Predator monitor from them about 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Never a single problem and tbh I haven't even noticed a dead pixel.
