1. Patience. The gameplay is slow, tedious, and overly complex at times. It primarily consists of walking from place to place, which just about everyone takes for granted in games these days. It gets faster and more varied as the game progresses, so it's not the same old gameplay throughout. If you have a lack of patience or willingness to try new (seemingly mundane) types of gameplay, you probably won't like this.
2. Ability to accept far-fetched stories and reasoning. The story, characters, and lore explanations will seem amazing or deep to the average video game player, but for the most intelligent of us, it's actually quite shallow and random. It's similar to how a child creates an amazing story with everything thrown in with wild explanations of why things are they way they are. It's simply not believable. But if you're okay with the stories and character actions in The Last Jedi, Tales of Berseria, Persona 5, or (dare I say it) The Last of Us, then you'll probably be okay with the story in this one.
Note that I bought the game and sold it with the plans to rebuy it when it's $10. It's still a nice showpiece, being the most graphically impressive (in regards to realism) game I've seen on PS4.
