Although warranty is only 90 days, considering it does not charge tax in most of states, might worth it. They have a 30 day worry free return policy if anything goes wrong.
Anyone have experience with Acer recertified? I've been debating pulling the trigger on the 15 with the 1650. Hard to commit when the 1050 was 500 new the other week at bestbuy.com
Judging by pictures the 17"is last years Gen by the thick bezels and SD card reader. The best buy is the newer Gen.

Picked one up last year. The body had some minor cosmetic scuffs, but continues to run great. Worth it to save a few bucks IMO.

I got one for my daughter last Christmas. Looked brand new. The 256gb M2 shit the bed after 8 months though. Would still recommend.

I bought a recertified Nitro 5
(This same machine, but not scratch and dent) https://acerrecertified.com/acer-...atch-dent/ last year through them and it's been a decent machine. Haven't had any problems. I did re-paste the CPU and GPU with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut when I first got it and added 8 GBs of RAM. It's been pretty good. I just decided to get something a bit more powerful and bought this a couple weeks ago https://acerrecertified.com/acer-...5-52-78vl/ and this one has also been fine so far.
Edit: got this latest one for $809 total and shipped with the 10% off code bf19acer

no the 17" is 2019 model, the same model as that of Best buy selling for 879 now.
Any chance you could weigh the 17? I got a different one a couple of months ago, and I'm thinking of selling it just to get a slightly more portable one, but will pass on this if the weight is similar.
