Completely worng. Instead o passmark, check some real reviews like from Notebookcheck.net, Tom's Hardware. This Processor is equivalent or slightly less than i7-8565U in single-threaded performance and actually better than it in mult-threaded performance. Do some more digging before posting. Check the review below: -

IPS display (Maximum: 253.6 cd/m²), 1080, backlit keyboard, current gen 3700U Ryzen 7... this is the cheapest price i have found that checks all these boxes for the 3700U processor, i bought one for my wife.

after reading the reviews the vast majority were clearly not very tech savy people, first thing i will do is upgrade the RAM a little and this should be perfect!

even if the IPS display in this isnt much brighter than an average TN, it will be sufficient for our needs. You should know the chassis its built on is obviously an entry level basic economy.. which is why the price is amazing.

expect 7 hours of web surfing battery life (according to notebookcheck benchmark result)

thank you.

7 hours of web surfing with Ryzen 7 and 42 Whr battery? That is exaggeration.

I have a ryzen 5 laptop with 57 Whr battery and it barely last 5 hours on web surfing with 50% brightness.

Seems like a good deal, however the reviews on Dell are preventing me from buying this.

Pretty good review on NotebookCheck. IPS display but not very bright.

Don't buy if you prefer a pretty bright display. All Inspiron series have dim and dull screens even 7000 series, which I just returned.

Seems like a great deal, only thing I would recommend swapping out is the wifi card as it's apparently way behind intel's chips.

im seeing wifi benchmark results on this model at roughly 300 MBit/s (about 37.5 megabyte/s) both up and down.. can't imagine most people ever needing more than that on a cheap laptop under average user load.. 4k youtube, any streaming, etc should be just fine.

Good price but the bad reviews point to the a poor built problem. I would avoid it.
