eBay
Sold download codes for Fallen Order on eBay since I didn't feel like selling locally on CL.
Sold fast via Buy It Now; got the money; sent the codes. Now buyer is disputing via PayPal.
Such garbage and pisses me off so much.

I should know better to trust the internet or people, but eBay / PayPal basically have a system set up to enable fraud with zero to no recourse.
I can only hope that whomever the buyer is that they try to scam someone with dox-like tendencies.

Still fighting with PayPal, but I expect to lose that. Somewhat rightfully so as now in this case the delivered 'goods' have been deactivated, or at least that's the claim as if the code was redeemed I doubt it's possible to do a clawback.
Lesson learned is to sell in person for cash.

You might not get your money back but at least you get to break off part of a stick in the buyer backside.
I think that may be the best advice I've ever seen here in the lounge.
Well done, I am going to keep that knowledge.

It's also why they don't allow selling codes on ebay. Sell someone a code, they activate it, are happy and leave good feedback. Weeks later seller reports it stolen and reclaims it.
I need the money, and with a profit margin like that I could replace a few. I did not pay for signature upon delivery on any items. I sold a few hundred. However one "gentleman" bought 5. I shipped Priority, and week later get a dispute he never received it. Shipped replacement, and paid for signature. He signed for it, and filled another dispute it was not received.
They took his side and refunded all funds, even with the proof of delivery I had sent. They ALWAYS Take the lying buyers side. Total BS! In the grand scheme of things I was ahead based on total sales. However it pissed me off to stop selling on eBay. I sold all remaining merchandise at a local swap meet. Cash in hand, ZERO seller fees (other than $20 table fee) no shipping, and no drama.

I would have sent him a few lbs of dog shit from the back yard inside of a candy box. as a thank you, of course.
