Does your kid play mostly fast paced first person shooters? Does your monitor support more than 60hz? What is the current platform (what CPU do you have in the PC? What about your PSU?)?

What monitor do you have? Did you get him a "gaming monitor" or is it a generic LCD panel?

570 will run Fortnite at 1080p 60+ fps without issue as long as your CPU isn't ancient. Smilie

It's moreso dependant on what kind of computer the kid has vs the age. Also what types of games and stuff will they be playing? This will work great as a basic 1080p GPU with decent graphics on a 60hz monitor.

For Fortnite you can expect 60-90 FPS. It might dip into the 50s depending on your other hardware.

An amazing deal if you don't mind turning down the graphics on 1080P games. I got a GTX 1660 OC recently to replace an aging HD 7870. The 1660 (and equivalent AMD) I would say is about the entry level to play 1080P with high settings at decent frame rates on modern games. My most recent game Outer Worlds' launcher recommended less than ultra settings for the card, but running ultra settings I'm getting okay frame rates.

Technically, amazon does have it price matched right now, but no $20 rebate. You can report a lower price on their product page, but I do not think they price match to the "after rebate" price.

Do you notice any difference in non-gaming performance, e.g. Windows / Chrome? I have a Ryzen 5 2600 / 16GB RAM but still running a Radeon HD 7870 since I don't game. Always felt like the performance of opening/moving windows around etc. on an otherwise brand new system should be a bit better but haven't found anything that justifies upgrading the graphics card for my use.

This deal has been on a for a few days now. I was going to bite on it a couple days ago, as a "budget" card will totally suffice for my needs, but they went out of stock. I ended up going a slightly different route with a RX 580. But this is an awesome deal that I'm sad I didn't get to take advantage of.
