These were on sale on Black Friday at Best Buy for $279. This is the cheapest I've seen the two pack. I missed the $119 and $129 sale on single cameras so decided on the two pack. No coupon code needed. Shipping is free. In CA I was charged $18 for tax.

The wireless ones record for 30 seconds and then shut off, even if motion is still occurring. We had someone try and break into the house the other day. The wireless ring cam got them approaching the house, and that's it. Didn't see them trying to get in, didn't see what direction they went after they left. Ended up being only marginally useful the time we actually needed it.
"Officer, after the camera shut off the perp inexplicably ran away from my house and shot himself in the back twice. Pretty amazing, sorry the footage isn't available."

Yes any "unanswered" motion will only record 30 seconds, 60 for some doorbells. I find it ridiculous as rings response is, "just answer the motion".

Do you screw them in? Or is it glue type?

There's a hatch on the bottom and you pop in the proprietary battery.

Does the wireless with solar panels enable the pre-buffering feature or is that only on the wired ones?

That seems insane to me. Thanks for the comments and saving me from going with Ring.

Hi TheJammer, Sometimesng, Cannon

There have to be significant compromises with battery operated consumer cloud cameras to keep a reasonable battery life on them and keep bandwidth consumption within reason.

If you need a more performant product, you need to look for a wired solution.. at a minimum wired for power and wifi - ideally wired power and data works better for reliability and performance.
