I bought this model 3 years ago (paid $140 on sale) and it still runs over a week on a charge. I use it daily and the original blades still cut smooth as well. I hope to find this type of deal when I eventually need to replace mine.

I think the cleaning station is unnecessary. I found it easier to just wash the blades with soap and water when needed.

Great deal from what I see from the SD history! The clean/charging station is only $50 more. Any thoughts if it is needed if I only shave my face only once every 2/3 days? I haven't used electric shavers much and want to know if it is at all worth it.

After buying several Panasonic cleaning stations, I hate to say they are a waste of money. They are unreliable and don't work well. Their design causes them to constantly be clogged and it's a mess trying to clean them and get them to work again.

My current Panasonic cleaning station is now an overpriced stand. I Iike the idea of having a cleaning stsrion so my next shaver will probably be a Braun just because their cleaning system is better.

Also would like to know if the cleaning station is useful? Looks like it uses Panasonic's open detergent. Is that necessary or can I use regular soap? Thank you.

Regular soap is good. It's much easier to just rinse it instead of using cleaning station.

Just ordered this during Christmas. Price was $100. Can't praise it enough. I used an old Panasonic for about 7 years. Hopefully this one last as long! The trimmer is wonderful as well
