I saw this among the selection at Home Depot, and while I'm not sure the 'regular' price of $1399 is believable, it did seem to be an acceptable deal at $659 for a 10k generator.

Please note: this is not "The Beast" generator that is produced by DuroMax which is more powerful and dual fuel capable.

I did a little research on this... Used to be this Stanley model here:

www.homedepot.com/p/202453680

3.6 stars out of 5. Looks like they discontinued it, this company scooped up all the old stock, rebranded in an attempt to make it "fresh", shipped all the old units with old and dead batteries, and crossed their fingers.

I ALMOST pulled the trigger on this. I think it would have been a regretful experience.

Similar situation with the Baja [homedepot.com] generator when Ryobi [homedepot.com] discontinued theirs.
