I wouldn't say non-issue but definitely overblown.
So many people told me not to buy a plasma because they heard about burn in.
Had one for 5 years until a lightning storm knocked it out (bad surge protector), zero burn in.
My dad has had a Panasonic plasma since 2005 with zero burn in.
Friend grabbed a 65" OLED a year ago and has zero burn in.
As long as you don't leave cnn or espn on 24/7 you should be fine.
If you have $1400 to spend on a big TV, do not buy this.
Spend the extra $300 for a quality 75" like a Sony X900F. You will be disappointed with this LG but blown away with the Sony
We have a 75" of this (not sure if ips or va) the quality is ok. Problem is, it cant get bright enough and even power saving off, still looks like the picture is dimmed. In a dark room with no sunlight.

Personally, I think this is a much better deal than the Sony one. Yea, OLED vs LED IPS, but if you're on a budget (which most people are), then this will almost always make more sense

seems like a decent price for a 82" i dont know about being having bragging rights with this TV. i dont know PQ of this model but LG nano cell is beautiful. i think the 86" series 9 nano cell goes for ~2500-2700$. i would like those to be in the sub $2000.

I have this TV. Got it at this price from greentoe. I also own an LG OLED. the PQ here is obviously lesser, but unless you watch a ton of 4K content, home theater, etc., this is good. For a big huge wall and at this price it's great. A little dim but I am super pleased with it.
