Direct Tools Outlet is having a clearance sale on "Certified Pre-Owned" (manufacturer reconditioned) Ryobi 3/8" Drill/Driver Kits, complete with chargers & batteries.

The 12 Volt model (ZRHJP004) has 0-600 RPM variable speed, weighs about 1.5 lbs and includes a Lithium-Ion battery and 45-minute charger for $20.99:

The 18 Volt model (ZRP1810) has a two-speed gearbox (up to 1,300 RPM), is compatible with all Ryobi One+ tools, batteries and chargers, weighs about 3.2 lbs and comes with a compact battery and one-hour charger for $29.99:

FWIW, these aren't higher-end units like the P208 from the previous DTO refurb deal. They are very basic 3/8" drill/drivers. Some folks have complained about the ergonomics and the keyless chuck on the P209, which is the drill driver included in the ZRP1810 18 Volt kit. On the other hand, you can't even buy a used ONE+ battery and dual chemistry charger for the price of this kit. It's a good value even if you just keep the drill/driver as a spare. If you plan to pick up other Ryobi ONE+ tools, it's the cheapest starter kit out there.

The 12 Volt kit is a very compact design and priced like a basic cordless screwdriver, even though it's a decent quality, name brand drill/driver.

I'd suggest checking out the reviews before you buy. But for all the folks who were posting "does it come with batteries and a charger?" on the last deal, here you go!

For those interested in what a "reconditioned" Ryobi product looks like, I've attached some unboxing pics for my $20.99 12 Volt Drill/Driver Kit.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Seems like a reasonable price for the battery alone, yes? I bought a refurbished string trimmer that came with a battery and charger a few years ago and it still works fine. I've kind of been wanting to get a couple more Ryobi things just to actually have a set that can all use the same batteries.

The ONE+ compact batteries start around $22 on DTO: https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...y/p/ZRP102

I've had nothing but horrible experiences with their certified pre-owned and refurbished stuff coming in broken or old and used. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Their factory blemished stuff is brand new and almost impossible to find the blemish.

Just curious, are those experiences recent? Folks have been posting mostly positive experiences with DTO on this thread, as recently as today: https://slickdeals.net/f/13777292-refurb-ryobi-one-18v-p208-1-2-drill-driver-p514-reciprocating-saw-or-p118-1-hour-charger-13-95?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

I just realized that the string trimmer I bought was from DTO. This was about two and a half years ago, so I'm not sure if their quality has gone down enough to account for the later poster's criticism. Not currently owning a drill/driver, an extra $8 doesn't seem too bad to pay for the set.

I never had a problem with CPO. They have been like new too, although I prefer the factory blemish.

Still waiting for DTO to have the 18v miter saws.

Reread my post. It's not DTO as a retailer specific post. It's in relation to them and CPO as well, but their tiered items for sale.

I've been buying from them for the last 3 years easily and I have shipments on the way currently. I just know now after many trials that only buying the "factory blemished" stuff when it is on sale is the way to go. It's always perfect and I'll buy it if the price it right every time.
Very rarely do any of them have good sales on "new."
Their refurbished and certified pro-owned has come to me looking like used store returns that weren't even checked out. Weed whackers covered in grass and not working, broken nailers, tools just loose in the box and a jumbled mess when it arrives, etc..

Okay, I reread your post. Maybe you could return the favor.

These experiences you've had with their refurbished and certified pre-owned product...were they recent? Because others have been posting mostly positive experiences with their CPO product as recently as today.

Other than being slow to ship late last year, my 3/8" drill kit looked fine. Pristine exc. for the branding "recon". Not used yet so that's all I can say.

I'm still a customer as stated above. The most recent was 3 items this past summer and that was the breaking point for me. I've never received a single certified pre-owned item from either DTO or CPO that wasn't well used, broken trash. At the same time I snatch up any of their factory blemished items when I can. Just be aware of what you are shopping for condition wise specifically.

Are these battery interchangeable between one to another? What I mean is does RYOBI ONE+ battery at 18V works with the 12V Tools and or viseversa with less power? Trying to get both so I'll have two batteries, Thanks.
