I have 3/4 aluminum rod above my work bench I hang them on using S hooks. See pic.
What do you guys use these for? I've still got old Yellow/Blue ones that I've never used. Never found them useful really.

I use mine to hang my Ryobi tools from a Gladiator GearLoft overhead storage rack. Keeps my hand-held power tools off the workbench, shelves, or peg board.

Acquired more Ryobi tools last month so needed 6 more of these.

It was $6.99 and in stock until yesterday. I placed order on Sunday. OP is misleading. Nevertheless , $7.49 is a good deal.
When I tried to check out yesterday, it would only let me add a quantity of 1; therefore, there was no way to get 3 packs for free shipping. 3 packs also happens to be the amount that I need. I am not sure how the OP is misleading. But yeah, $7.49 is a good deal... $6.99 would have been even better.

You guys just using these for hand tools? I don't have any Ryobi hand tools, but I have a few lights, rotary tool, etc that I might try these on.

I use these on almost all of my Ryobi tools. Lights, soldering station, grease gun, fan, rotary tools, transfer pump, saws, etc. About the only items I can think of, that didn't work well with the lanyard, is the cable light, compressor, vacs, and the miter saw.

I have these lanyards mounted on the floor joists in the basement. Keeps the tools up high, out of the way, easily reachable, and not cluttering the workspace.

I just bought a few more.. Do you keep the lanyard on the floor joist and unhook the battery part or do you unhook from the floor joist? Seems to make more sense to just have these semi-permanently installed and then just unlatch from the tool whenever you need to use the tool.

I just unlatch the tool from the lanyard, and keep the lanyard hanging on the floor joist.

I had no problem in adding three to the cart on Sunday, but I decided to replace part of the order with something else at the end as I already have two pairs from previous purchase. It was not out of stock but a price increase today.
