I'm not sure docking station and charger count as "detachable tools"

I bought this, the detachable tools reside in the docking station.

not to undermine the deal or the quality of their machines, but stay away from Dyson.com.
Two weeks I ordered new vacuum + free tools, which was expected to be a gift arriving before Jan.3
Since then:
- I've seen three different pending charges on my credit card, all disappeared eventually.
- I received free tool on time (thanks, very useful without the vacuum)
- I got charged $75 for that extra tool
- Tried to call customer services, line is forever busy
- Today I've got an email apologizing about that $75 charge - it was a mistake, we'll fix everything, blah-blah.
- since then no transactions or charges on the credit card, no shipping information, and no way to see any order update ar status at their web-site.
Summary: Two weeks later I still have no idea when the actual vacuum will be shipped and how much it will eventually cost. I already missed the gifting deadline and have a set of useless extra brushes that I bought for $75.
It seems that my experience is far from being unusual: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.dyson.com

Agree. Avoid dyson.com. Not as bad as you, but ordered a vacuum that was advertised to be shipped with 2day shipping and vacuum took 18 days to arrive. Shipped 2 days after I ordered with ground UPS. Asked Dyson CS for explanation, told me that the item was not available for immediate shipment as noted on the product page... But I am 90% sure it had no notice until a few days after I ordered (I looked at this product page multiple times for 1-2 days before ordering).
Still does not explain why they were able to ship the item 2 days after ordering, but did not use 2day shipping as advertised.

Isn't this the same deal they have been running for a while, except without the option for a Dok?

Got this same deal from dyson.com before Christmas with 15% cash back. Got the vacuum in 2 days and the tools and dok just after New Years. All in all a great deal.

I think the same product is available from Costco for $350. I got mine there because it's like a lifetime warranty if the vacuum ever fails, which is great considering Dyson's reliability issues.

The Costco deal didn't have any of the kits, just the tools. My bad.

Costco one did not have the soft brush. I was not aware of it and had to return it because of that.

It's $480 online at Costco. Was the $350 an in-store deal?

The soft brush is crucial for hardwood and costs about 100-150 on its own so would not consider without.

I had an exceptional experience with dyson. Got one for my parents, shipped right away. Mine had a battery issue, took it to a local repair place and was replaced without problem.
