These may be all solid wood, but this particular model is a bit boxy sounding.
I think Fender just wants something that looks like it compares to the Martin 000 on paper.
The next size up (Newporter) seems more like a 000 size.
Don't like to have an extra layer of paint on the top ... the piece of wood that matters the most and needs to vibrate.
Personally for an acoustic guy like myself I would never own something with that headstock.
But the straight up tuning peg alignment will make tuning a little easier and less binding on the nut. My old USA Breedlove has that similar alignment and I swear the same model/gauge strings feels a little less tension on the fingers.
