And the Lexus dealer will say "No! Are you crazy?! Come in and let us change your oil for $150."

They call this version "Gas Truck" because Rotella oils have previously/traditionally been aimed at commercial trucks and farm vehicles that run on diesel.

But as you said, the label is just a label, and Rotella Gas Truck is API SN+, which means it is categorized as meeting criteria for use in gasoline engines (and any vehicle (car, truck, sv) with a gasoline engine that would be compliant with API SN+ will be fine) .

It's fine for any vehicle that takes the grade of oil as on the bottle. There's a note on the side of the bottle that it isn't only for trucks. The gas truck is marketing aimed to make it seem like it as a tough and robust oil. (Which I hear it is as well)

Didn't the rebate expire at the end of last year? I could be wrong but I haven't seen a new page come up for this year.

Those of us with motorcycles have been running Rotella non-synthetic in our bikes for years. Significantly less than motorcycle-specific oil.

They have other weights as well. Just checked and 0w-20 is available at the same price.

$9 less than the Costco deal (after rebates) for what I'd consider a more proven brand. Plus if you use CB sites and whatnot you can get it for less (net).

Wondering the same as well. I just did the rebate last month, does that mean I can't do the new one?

Think I'm going to give it a shot. Think there was a limit of like $40 per household so you can try again i think. Might stock up on 2-3 and that'll cover me for about 4 oil changes
