Definitely not. This is an older version of the now called Reference line. The old Reference line was renamed in part Reference Premiere and then their top of the line is called Reference III. Clear as mud?

Are these the replacement for the rp-26 or rp-28 line?

I'd be willing to bet the drivers are all the same other than the coating around the horn. Better crossovers is where the higher end comes into play. I'd love to see a tear down of the 3 lines. Polk does the same thing. Better crossovers and cabinets in the higher lines.
These old Synergy towers have very respectable drivers.
I am so freakin confused with what's what in the Klipsch lineup. I seen the atmos Klipsch, but I don't really need atmos. I need speakers for stereo. In large part music. "Value wise", I think I would've been best off getting the atmos speakers. I would've been fine with the bluetooth Klipsch sometime back. I have an amp, but will do without if need be with the bluetooth. I don't know which deal to get. I think the 280's may have been ones to consider a couple of weeks ago?

This is kinda where I'm at. I have Kanto yu2 speakers at the moment. I could add a sub to round them out, but they're a little bit disappointing to me. I'm more than happy with a regular old pc style 2.1 system but I just have no idea what to do. I use them strictly with my turntable, if I'm gonna use Bluetooth for a party or something I have a different setup.

Thanks for correcting me! That is exactly what I thought. The 'budget' line

So better then rf-82 II?
I wouldn't think so, the rf's are comparable to premiers I think.

$400 Each. Still seems like a good deal.
