It can get loud and hot even with that seemingly large cooler.
It is very fragile, like super sensitive to small bumps and stuff, quits working after PC is shipped doubleboxed with two layers of styrofoam inside and GPU secured with zip ties and cables.

Would an aftermarket cooler like from arctic be a better choice in cooling it and possibly not having issues like you mentioned?

It may not touch all the crucial components, like ram, don't know if it is a good choice. I'd rather use one of the msi cards for more money. But this one is ok if you are careful and have good ventilation
