To be honest, I don't really notice a difference between 8 and 16GB (this is in Ubuntu Linux, btw), but I'm happy to have it just in case, and since it doesn't really cost that much more.

Motile lcd is pretty decent. it's not the brightest but more than good enough. I for one don't like the thx profile. if you switch to another background and you are using the thx profile, things just don't look correct. seems like only thee motile theme looks good with the thx color profile
