For example: the AMD software let me define a 16:10 2560x1600 60Hz 8-bit resolution via HDMI that's the native resolution for my 30" Dell U3011 monitor: before I could only get 1920x1200 max.
Note that the software looks like it allows you to overclock your CPU and GPU and really screw things up if you don't know what you're doing so use at your own risk.

From the pull-down menus select:
"Processors with graphics" > "AMD Ryzen™ Processors" > "AMD Ryzen™ (3 or 5) Mobile Processors with Radeon™ Vega Graphics" > (Your Processor)
Download and run the installation file ("win10-radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-edition-20.2.2-mar5.exe" - I think it's the same software for both Motile laptops but not 100% sure.)

So maybe something is wrong with this thing.
If it always locks up for you in Chrome, try Firefox and see if it locks up there... maybe it's a driver issue combined with something Chrome is doing.
