For those who need a service like this, use Privacy(dot)com. It's free and it lets you create virtual credit cards that you can use for stuff like this. You can set specific per-charge limits so they can't charge you more than they're supposed to. You can also set recurring or one time, or a specific length of time for the virtual card to be active. I use it for all of my free trials and stuff. I don't even need to cancel the trails anymore since I set the card to close after a specific date.

I used Visible for one month last year when they were giving out free phones for signing up with them.

Visible's customer service was shockingly poor. There was no way to contact them by phone or email. The only customer service available was by online chat. If they could not resolve your issue in one chat session, you had to contact them again and start completely over with a new representative.

Multiple times the chat representative told me my problem had been escalated and someone would contact me, but I was not contacted in any way, by phone or by email, other than to receive surveys about their customer service. You can guess my responses.

If you deal with Visible, plan on having technical and billing issues, and plan on not being able to resolve them with their customer service.

Do you still get the $100 for signing up?? I was going to do BYOD but this seems better since I have plenty of old phones lying around.

I have one of my devices on Visible for the last month and a half and it's been fine.

The swap free deal is not compatible with the $100 MasterCard. Best way to contact visible is via Twitter. I got immediate responses to questions about trade in and master card promotion.

Not a bad deal on a backup slash disposable phone.

https://www.gsmarena.com/motorola...6-9682.php [gsmarena.com]

But that says they are $61 msrp.

Is it unlocked? How well does android 9.0 run on 2 gigs ram and 16 storage. That seems like the biggest limitation. Maybe I got the wrong model?
Right model. You only get 2gb ram and 16gb storage. It is unlocked. Both Verizon and Xfinity sims worked. Will check AT&T when I get a chance.

I can also confirm you can send in a cracked phone. Used the swap on the ZTE Blade A7 Prime and was approved with an old phone that still turned on.

I see that I will be charged $11 today (tax) and $20 at activation. If I never activate the phone, will I still get charged $20? I'd be buying this as a backup, so that's why I wouldn't need to activate it.

Well then, I'll stick to BYOD since I already have compatible devices. $100 is better than this phone. Thank you!

Where are you seeing that?

Their website says that the first month's plan is charged when the phone ships.

Takes just a few minutes to sign up. Your first month of unlimited data, messages, and minutes will cost just $25, billed when your new phone ships. And with next-day shipping, you'll get your free phone right away.

I swapped my old Android Nexus 5X which no longer gets android updates since last year for the HTC Blade A7 under this promo.

As long as the device boots up, they will take it.

Visible (Verizon network) is very slow in my area an deprioritized during peak use hours making it almost unusable.

I also tried USMobile.com (using Verizon sim) and did side to side speed tests and while Visible was getting 0.3 Mbps download the other verizon line from USM was getting 8Mbps. Both of them had 1 to bars of service.

YMMV. I ended up with AT&T since my area has 20Mbps speeds even with 1-2 bar coverage from major carriers. Still better than T-mobile in my area.

There are several unanswered questions for non virtual CC users:
1. my old but working flip phone IMEI was accepted using the swap URL, there is no doubt that it's not a android phone. Am I going to get charged full price of e6 after?
2. $20/1st mo and $40/2nd mo even if I don't activate the service?
3. Has anyone tried to block the payment so the end result is a $20 phone that is unlocked by turning in an old phone?

Yes you need to activate. That is part of the swap instructions.

1. If you try to do something outside the rules then you open yourself up to that possibility even if others have gotten away with it.

2. $20 first month. They charge it when you buy. DOn't have to have a second month. If you want to do the second month too then don't swap just buy it outright and get the $100 mastercard deal.

3. Just turn off autopay.
