For those of you who think you'll pocket $400 easily. You'll pocket $400 as easily if you invested $4000 into an S&P500 index mutual fund for at least 1 year to not get charged with short term capital gains tax. You might even do better.
Well, if you have $4k to let sit for a year.

You won't qualify for the bonus if you already have an account, which many of us unknowingly already have.

How is 90 days for DD calculated? The reason I ask is I did the previous deal that required three $3000 direct deposits over 90 days from the date of account opening, which was 11/18/2019 (literally the day I opened the account online). My employer took some time to switch my paycheck to WF and the first two DD happened on 12/31 and 1/31. The third will happen on 2/29. Will that be too late as 90 days from 11/18 is 02/16/2020? Or is there a grace period to get the account going (e.g., with credit card bonus offers)? If not, it would be near impossible to get three paychecks in as DD in 90 days.

Were I in your situation, I'd send WF a secure message once logged into your account asking that same question.

The way 2020 is shaping up, I'd stick with this wellsfargo deal. Not bullish at all for a 10% return in these Market conditions in 2020.

That's what they said about 2019. I doubt anything major will happen if history is a good indicator. Just stay on course because winning financially is a marathon, not a sprint.

This is terrible advice. There is absolutely no guarantee the stock market will gain 10% this year.

This offer guarantees you a 10% return for a shorter time period with no risk.

We'll see if I will get mine. I did this offer around xmas.
What's so shady was I couldn't open an online account so that I can log in to check the direct deposits, after my application was approved. Turns out I had an old account with them (that I wasn't aware of) according to their csr. She said my current phone number (that I used in my application) does not match what is in their record. Guess what? Their record has a very old phone number + my previous address 9 years ago!

Please look up what Wells Fargo has been doing to their customers. I won't trust them a bit forever. Some of them should go to jail.
I agree ,I had an awful (several) experience 's ….but one in particular with one of my accounts (opening credit card accounts 3 of them) ,they did not steal or charge on them but they were open and showing on my credit file . Went to the office to complain and they denied it and mocked me as paranoid . Then things started getting real bad but will not get into it as I have an open lawsuit with them . I now only have 2 accounts left with a meager 30k between them . I do have a significant 401k but will change that over soon . My take ,do not deal with them ...or trust them with your hard earned or inherited money .just say'in

More reason for three of my household members to get $400 bucks each. This is Wells Fargo saying I'm sorry for all the bad things we have done in the past. Here's 4 Benjamins.

Thank You Wells Fargo!!hug
