My car battery is showing signs of death so I started looking around. The Bosch I was looking at (good reviews on Consumer Reports) was only available at Pep Boys so I started digging around their site. They still show the 25% off that was supposed to expire on 12/29/19 as active. It says "Web Only" now so I ordered it for store pickup.
$194.99 (site price)
-$48.75 (25% discount)
-$40 (rebate)
106.24 +taxes and fees.
Rebate expires 2/22/2020. I've attached the form but you can submit it online through pepboys.com/rebates

AGM is better in just about every scenario if you are planning on keeping the vehicle for at least a few years.
difference b/t Group Size 24FH and 124R?

AGM has it's pros. But I don't see the point in a car. The big pros of an AGM is that it's spill proof and doesn't vent while being charged. Which makes it good for places like indoors and planes. In a car though, a wet cell is fine.
Longevity is about the only benefit of a flooded battery. But the age difference between them isn't that much, all other things being equal.
Does this give anyone else pause?
