Chipotle Guac Mode - More benefits (free guac in Feb) for Rewards Members in 2020

When Chipotle activates Guac Mode in February, eligible Chipotle Rewards members will receive a reward for one free topping or side of guacamole with the purchase of a regular-priced entrée. A special Guac Mode badge will appear in the My Rewards section of those Chipotle Rewards members' accounts and will be available for a limited time only.

"Our fans absolutely love our fresh, handmade guac, especially when it's not extra," said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer. Do you get guac coupon or not? I got the verified guac mode but cashier didn't know about it. They sent out email very early today for the founding reward members.

So it does sound like you'll only get the one offer to use, which will possibly expire in short order if not jumped on. Just my guess but it's probably not available yet and won't be till after the 2-20 last day to sign up, as they say it'll be free when they "activate guac mode" some time in February. Not much point in telling people they have till 2-20 to signup and then make send the free offer before that date.

Unless you get a veggie bowl/burrito/salad, guac is always extra. Even when adding Sofritas, guac is charged. Usually around $2.

man their implementation of the app is still a disaster. can cashiers use the remaining gc balance to pay for an order yet? or is it still all or nothing? also, i see a guac symbol in the app... but does that mean i get free guac on a future order after i make a feb entree order? or is it meant to be used in my next feb order?

The market is flooded with avocados from Mexico that Guacamole should be standard topping now.
Same for charging extra for white meat, since breast meat cost the same as leg.

I think it is yet to be enabled. I didn't have a rewards account prior and I created it yesterday. The only thing I see is the free chips / guac after first purchase ($5 or more), which expires end of this year.

Also, given how vaguely they have described, it is not clear if it would be for all reward members or added at random to selected.

I do see the "Guac Mode" verified showing up in the mobile app.
