Set your receiver front speakers as small.
Crossover to 80hz
Increase subwoofer db if needed.
Subwoofer gain/volume at 12oclock
Phase at 0
Low pass filter at LFE
Make sure you are plugging RCA cable from the receiver to the sub LFE.
subwoofers are usually best at corners.
I suggest doing the subwoofer crawl if you can.

I have 2 * Bic f12 and considering selling those to get the 350$ subs
My advice is to look for a blem near the bottom or near the face, where the grill will hide it.
Also keep in mind where you will place the sub. If the blem is on the left and you're putting it in a left corner, it may be out of site.
Thoughts on replacing both of them with one pb1000?

I think used, but they have the same warranty as new. I think these used items are from their generous return policy.

Where are you located? I would be interested in f12 I'd local.
Generally, a ported Sub is better suited for movies. Sealed subs usually have that "tighter", "punchy" sound better for music but a ported sub will give you that deep "boom". The PB-1000 goes down to 19hz. Also, it depends on the size of the room that you're trying to fill so if you're trying to fill a 600+ sq. ft living room, a solo SB-12 might not adequately fill the space.
