Meh. The 9 series is better, although the 8500 does also have HDMI 2.1 which means VRR (think G-Sync.) The 8500 only has 2GB RAM vs. 3 in the 9 series. This model is an AUA which doesn't support wISA, you'll want the PUA model for that.
For the price, the Sammy RU8000 series is on par with the 9 series. The Sammy has a VA panel vs. the SM9k with IPS. I've had three TV's recently... RU8k, SM9k, and ended up with a C9P. Love the OLED, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go with the Sammy for less than half the price.
