man rebate killed the deal
I used this monitor for about three months at a video editing gig. I am used to a 2x 27" 4k set-up, and this was a great compromise. Slightly smaller than the two minors, but I really liked not having the gap in the middle. The resolution was slightly fuzzy coming from 4k, but much sharper than all the large 1080p monitors I see most people using. It didn't seem to get super bright, but was comfortable at 90% brightness. Good color accuracy, not perfect, but you could trust it with video work.

Only downsides I noticed: The curve gives the matte screen a bit more glare then a flat screen. Position and not having a lamp behind you can sort this out. Also, it would freakout my 2018 15" MacBook Pro when connected via USB-C when it went to sleep. Essentially, it would end up in a sleep/wake loop with the screen going in and out of power saving mode and laptop doing the same. Never figured out a fix for that.

Seriously considering buying one of these for myself.
8ms response time very slow for a monitor. 60 hz refresh also only ok for gaming. Of course you can game on it but if it's a priority then there are much better gaming monitors.

$639-$50 does not = $389 their rebate calculation are wrong.
You do realize that there's a mail in rebate for 250, bringing it down to the 389.

I'm guessing because it's not 144hz/gsync/freesync, and not advertising a BS 1ms response time figure (response time figures are almost always marketing wank).

In the end, this is a high quality display that will work well for basically anything, including gaming.

Need SD recommendation. This Dell deal or this Costco deal? https://www.costco.com/lg-34-ultr...26649.html

Got this from microcenter before new year's and it is ideal for anyone thinking of office productivity and wanting two screens. With two screens you are too often sitting and looking to either side or having two bezel lines in middle.

I have been using 2-3 screens for decades but now the curve really does the job best. This Dell stand and screen are worth the full price I pay before end of year. Really worth splurge
