Costco has the Vizio V655-G9 for $399.99, I was able to get Target to price match and use my Target card for an additional 5% off, $402.97 out the door. Stock was low at Target so YMMV.

How did you get target to price match? I thought they only did that for other target stores within 20 miles?

I called my local Target (Louisville, KY), asked if they price match Costco, they agreed. I walked in and showed them my phone. It was fairly painless, again YMMV.

I just called Target.com and they could not price match because they only price match match with Costco.com, not the local store, and they only use the UPC that is listed on Target.com.

The UPC for this tv is UPC: 845226017193 and says, "not found" (please search by item number) on Costco.com.

So Target could not price match.

I really want this tv, Costco.com cancelled my order due to OOS, and I have to pay to rent an SUV plus pay the membership fee of $60 to buy it in the store. That's $160 plus the cost of the tv.

A Target price match would resolve my problems.

How did you manage it?

Oh, you walked in.

My local zip code shows OOS for this tv on Costco.com - did Target insist on availability?

Thanks for the reply btw

They had 1 in stock at Target, I walked in, showed him my phone, he had a manager override the price (479.99) and I was out the door.

Thanks again I really appreciate you answering my questions — I meant the Costco.com availability, not Target.

Costco.com shows OOS for my zip code.

But it just says "enter zip code to check earliest delivery date' - if you do check, it says OOS. If you don't check, it looks available.

That's what I was asking - did Target make you run your zip on Costco.com?

If it's in stock at a Target near you, I would walk in and show them the link and see if they'll do it. I would say you have a good shot.

Hey I really appreciate you posting this (the Target PM portion) bc it's much cheaper for me than at the Costco store.

The tv is in stock at the Target around the corner so I'm going to try.

I just wish Target would deliver bc I can't get it into my convertible and still have to rent the SUV to pick it up. But the Costco location is 45min each way so at least I'll save gas on the rental.

Thanks again. I'll try to rep you

Ugh - for some reason every time I've tried to rep someone in the past year, it says I need to spread my rep around (see screenshot)

Hey Admin - can you fix this?

Many of the local Costco stores have them in stock. Just call and give the item number.

If you need to rent something bigger, you may want to check Home Depot if you're near one. Some of them they rent a van for like $20 for 4 hours. Or you can usually get a Uhaul for like $20 plus milage ... maybe overkill for what you need, but probably cheaper than renting an SUV from a car company.

Can anyone compare this tv and the sharp 58" from Best Buy (other than the size difference) which one is better?

I was a car salesman for quite a few years. It is not surprising when people come in, show a lot of interest, ask to take for a test drive, then come back about an hour later, switch groceries and other items from the test car to their personal car and then are never heard from again. We have also caught people moving furniture and other items. We couldn't really do anything about it, so ymmv if you want to go that route. Car salesman and dealerships are along the same lines as lawyers... but aren't as bad as politicians.

How am I going to know if I want this truck if I don't know for sure that it can haul at least two tons of jagged rock across town today? Once I see it can do that, I just want to make sure it's got the goods to transport a refrigerator and a hideaway sofa.

*two hours later*

It did everything I needed, but now that I don't have anything to move it seems impractical to buy a truck. Peace
