Hello SD... I've encountered a really weird thing buying with Costco online... looking for some brainstorming ideas.
A few weeks ago I ordered this "Proform 8.0 Treadmill"
LINK 1:
https://www.costco.com/proform-tr...88289.html
This unit is distinctive with its blue-ish LED and an adjustable landing "shox" zone.
As it turns out, Proform did some weird stuff recently and modified their inventory names. In the past Costco was selling a Proform 8.0 Treadmill 3 years ago that was actually a slightly different unit:
LINK 2:

This unit is distinctive with hits round circle display and no adjustable landing "shox" zone.
So from what I gather... Proform decided to ship the old Trainer 8.0 model instead of the Trainer 8.0 shown on Costco's site today. It's clear the unit I received is the older version of the 8.0 based on legacy photos of Costco inventory. LINK 2 is the unit I received in my home, and it seems to be the older design.
But, Proform says "you ordered a Trainer 8.0 and got an Trainer 8.0 treadmill ... what's the problem?" I feel this is kind of shady since Proform seems to have complete control to just rebadge model numbers whatever they want or offer concurrent models with different features under the same name.
I admit the differences between the two models isn't huge. But LINK 1 seems to be newer with the adjustable landing zone.
Anyway, the treadmill weighs 250 lbs, and I spent 4 hours assembling it. I'm not sure what to do next, and Costco.com/Online is having trouble resolving the issue since they can't get Proform on the phone. Costco is just the reseller and never had ownership of the inventory.
Thanks for listening and your thoughts on this issue!

Credit card dispute is an option too.
Proform decides on their own that they have multiple "8.0" models and will ship whichever one is convenient for them. However, it appears they shipped an older model to me that is slightly different than advertised.
This is a pain only because the contraption weighs so much and is so unwieldy to dismantle and adjust. Costco doesn't have enough visibility into what happened since they merely took payment; they never owned the fulfillment or inventory.

And 9 out 10 Dentists recommend Trident gum.
Do you have video?
Cause I'd pay good money to see that video.
