NOTICE: You can lose your money!! The Tello system will NOT allow redemption of the purchased coupon if the address used does not receive a signal. True even if there is great signal strength nearby. If this happens you have lost your money.

Checking the coverage map will not ensure that the coupon can be redeemed. Get confirmation from Tello that a specific address is o.k. BEFORE buying!

Open a support case at Tello if StackSocial refuses to refund for "unable to provision" Tello wants to hear from you on this.

StackSocial does not disclose the above on promotion or check out page!

Stack Social IS the seller not Tello but they are misrepresenting themselves. They say Tello approves "SS" refunds - it does not.

No disclosure: Stack Social offer page fails to disclose that in order to redeem your coupon the Tello system will first check to see if service can be provisioned at your address. If Tello systems says no hen you have a worthless coupon unless you want to spoof Tello with a fraudulent address.

No Stack Social support: It's a boiler room operation using a Google Voice number that no one answers ever. If you never receive what you paid for on StackSocial then you are S.O.L. unless your bank or PP finds a dispute in your favor. Keep screenshots!

Misrepresentation: Stack Social ("SS") buys the Tello service in bulk then resells it. But they lie and say that they can not refund without approval from Tello (confirmed as NOT True with Tello). Don't do business with scammers!

Tello told me that they are opening an investigation in to the business practices of StackSocial. They have written me that they believe Stack Social should give refunds to folks who could not sign up. Tello has stated that they are extremely unhappy that Stack Social would lie and tell its customers that they can not have a refund because Tello 'refuses to respond' as evidenced by email customers have received from the "SS" "Suppor Heros Team". Tello vehemently states that no one from "SS" has ever contacted them regarding failed attempts to sign up.

StackSocial closing accounts in retaliation: "SS" has closed suddenly in retaliation for opening a support request. Take screen shots of everything! They also block email to 'support'.
Expect that if you open a "support request" for "can't redeem coupon Tello can not provision" your account will be closed and the support emails will start coming back un-deliverable.

Take snap shots of all screens because they WILL disappear.

Beware of a confidence scheme where a scammer named "Wade" claims to be on the "support team". Wade will string you along for weeks hoping that the dispute window will close.

No case numbers given by "SS" .

Status: Tello seems very interested in the misrepresentations being made by StackSocial. They are not happy about the outright dishonesty reseller "SS". They have seen the emails sent by Wade at "SS" and state that they contain serious misstatements and misrepresentations.

No WiFi calling with Tello: I would have purchased if they had WiFi calling.

Just to be clear Tello is legit but StackSocial aka ScamSocial is not. Report problems to SD promptly.

If I am not mistaken, Tello data plan is unlimited data. This plan may be only 2GB LTE. But after used up the 2GB, the data rate may goes down to 64Kb/s. The low speed rate has been working for me for calls with hangout dialer. I have been using tello with google hangout dialer for several years. Just in case you have concern about what to do with the low data rate, VOIP calls may works.
Yes, but its only $2.99

In this set you get 4 sims (A, B, C and D)

On tello website, you have to check the compatibility of your phone (IMEI) against each of these sims (A or B or C or D). One of these sims will be compatible with your phone - you use that one.

Did it last time this deal was around - it works great, price is right and cant complain. Reception is good, no issues with battery drain.

After the 6 month plan expires the best deal they have is $14/month for the same 2GB. plan.

For low data users, this plan is a god send.

With recent TMobile's acquisition of Sprint - things may change.

That is correct. I am currently on unlimited talk/text/1GB plan for $10. Very happy with tello. And it is cool you can do hotspot without an additional fee.

curious why use VOIP if it's unlimited talk?

On a related note, are there any "unlimited" throttled data plans that're higher 64Kb/s but a similar price? My son is a data hog, and needs apps like tiktok etc to work
