I grabbed this CPU for 80 and an asus mobo MC in the previous sale. The cpu runs about 30-35C in idle w/ stock cooler, but you may want to consider grab an aftermarket cooler if ur getting an AMD ryzen processor, summer is near!
Yup, couldn't agree more. RAM is cheap. SSD is cheap. Video cards are reasonable.
GPUs are not anywhere near reasonable. Nvidia puts up monopoly prices on high-end GPUs. Two year old GPUs are still the same price as they were when they were first released (RTX 2080 ti). If AMD stopped shitting on itself with garbage drivers, we would actually see decent competition in the area.

Your "ideal world" prices have very little basis in reality. Yes, Nvidia has been shafting us for a long time now since AMD can't compete and that sucks.
But the last time I remember AMD being actually competitive with Nvidia, a top tier card like the 2080 was going to go for around 450, and an enthusiast card like the 2070 was going to be like 300.
At no point in time was a budget enthusiast card like the 2060 EVER going to be 80 dollars. Maybe somewhere around 200.
This is of course taking into account that the next generation of cards not being out yet.

Not sure about that. Ram and SSD prices has been ticking up a little earlier this year since the lows during last December. I brought this deal when they had the sale and there is really no difference in motherboard. Glad that I got the gigabyte DS3H, but if I had the choice, I would've brought the a320 mobo instead.

But, you are right about NVIDIA pricing, and high-end cards in general.
