It wastes a lot of tape on the front and back end of each label. I try to make several labels at one time (therefore limited the wasted tape) and cut them apart with scissors.
The prices on this item are almost on a regular schedule, see attached for more info.

$9.99 every 3 months, goes out of stock by day 2-5
$14.99 every 1 month for 1 week
$19.99 or $24.00 the rest of the time.
Anyone find a reliable generic label tape for this?
The printer could be free, they get you with the refills :p

The little bit better model appears to be $15 as well, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013DG2...uEbV7ZE2DZ

Solid price, I own a printer from them, not sure if their label makers are any good but at this price I'm not complaining...

Both have a fair share of terrible reviews. The cheaper model seems to suck batteries down when not in use and the one I linked seems to waste a lot of label paper.

It doesn't seem like either are very good, but can't expect a ton for this price!

Personally, I love label makers, but I go with a larger tape (24mm) to help label totes/etc in the garage. This label maker has limitations (12mm), great for kitchen, files, etc though.

When I purchased mine, I bought a power brick. Now I don't worry about batteries.

The battery life on this sucks but refills with a 6 pack through Amazon on the tape are very cheap.

These have worked great for me. They're even better than the Brother tape because the backing peels down the middle, making it much easier. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L1QC...uEbN2TEH67
