The model numbers are a bit confusing, such that the S4, S6, and newly released S5 Max are newer models with some new features, but per the YouTube review not necessarily worth a premium over this.
For me, I'll hold out hope that I can get a new S4 for $300 again soon.
Possibly. I'm not familiar with the cadence or how soon their models go on sale, since the Max was just released

They can do both. I've ordered a European model and just switched the power cord to a US one.

I love our S4. We picked it up a few weeks ago when it was on sale. When you do get it, update the firmware before using it. Ours would stop every five minutes saying it was stuck even though it wasn't. After update I have had zero issues.

I have the S4 and I'm sorry I didn't buy the s5. While the s4 works well on my tile and hardwood floors, it does not run on my upstairs medium pile carpet.
Very nice, glad to hear it. I saw the Facebook Roborock community is solid. I've also heard that AliExpress has good selection and prices for parts, but I haven't looked myself
Afaik the S4 isn't much different from the S5 minus the mopping and some updates to the S4. Do you think the S5 would have faired better on carpet?
