What cable work with this external drive? Is it USB to USB, or is it still the weird proprietary end to USB?

Additionally, is there any way to use this with iPad or iPhone without buying apple's camera adapter?

Seems odd that they have the same drives inside, but different warranty periods (2yrs for the element and 3yrs for this one).
