Anyone know how this compares to using the EF adapter with the nifty fifty vs the 56mm. The F stop is 1.4 vs 1.8 but the nifty fifty colors are so nice but if the bokeh is that much better?

Also is the size of this lens smaller than the EF adapter and 50mm?

There is not a large difference in color between lenses. Get the Sigma..it's a substantially better lens.

Does it have regular Sigma focusing issues, where you have to spend endless hours testing and readjusting focus?

If you're using on mirrorless then it doesn't matter. Those issues arise due to phase detect AF off a mirror.

30mm is the weakest of the trio, main issue is AF and no weather sealing.

56mm is awesome.

thumb down for unhelpful

These are great lenses. Good af, well corrected, and nice rendering.

Wish they had more native EF as if u don't mind the size, Sony full frame is so cheap now.

Waiting for Sigma 35/1.2 to drop below 1k then I'll cop.

Adorama seems to have matched the price: https://www.adorama.com/l/Photogr...Style_Base

No memory card, of course.

I have the 30/1.4 for the Sony E-mount. It's a great lens. Assuming that the canon version will have similar performance.

$397 shipped on Amazon from UK. No card (worth $20), but 5% back on Amazon card. That covers most of the tax for me.

The Sigma 56 down to 319 + 8 bucks shipping, Amazon Global through Amazon. That's easily the best price I've seen on this lens.

(Now up to 364, strangely bouncing around, still the best price around)
