Product Name: | Bosch GCM10GD 10-Inch Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw |
Product Description: | The innovation responsible for both the unique appearance and the unparalleled level of performance is Bosch's patented Axial-Glide system. Beyond giving the CM10GD its distinctive profile, Bosch's Axial-Glide system eliminates three key challenges miter saw users have endured since the first slide systems debuted many years ago. While the traditional sliding compound miter saw approach enables users to make wider cross cuts, that system takes up more space and is prone to misalignment and stickiness over time. By replacing the sliding rail system with a hinged or articulating glide arm system - similar to the linkage used in a four-bar suspension design - Bosch created a more compact miter saw that delivers durable precision, remaining true and smooth over time. The Bosch CM10GD 10-Inch Dual Bevel Glide Miter Saw features a powerful 15-Amp, 4, 000-RPM motor with large easy-to-read bevel and miter scales allowing for precise, quick and easy adjustments: 52-Degree Left/60-Degree Right Miter Capacity- 47-Degree Left/47-Degree Right Bevel Capacity with marked detents and roof pitch angles. The tall sliding 4-1/4-Inch fences allow for increased cutting capacity when cutting tall base and crown moulding. With an ergonomic soft-grip ambidextrous trigger handle and a clear lower guard for unobstructed visibility throughout cut, the CM10GD provides maximum comfort for all-day use. |

The home depot link is still working for me...
That's the same model I've had for the last two years and I've loved it. I installed a custom shadow line LED light into the head of mine and it is as great a tool as I've ever owned. My biggest gripe was that they actually designed it with the capability to have a light installed for a shadow line but never sold the light itself. Has the casing for a wire to be hidden and everything. They just never made the light. It was a fun and simple diy mod to add to the saw though and I'm glad they included the housing for a light
It must have been fixed because it works now 👍
The new version has the shadow light built in now. I guess the listened to feed back and improved on the first version.
Thanks for the info - what is your reference for this? Do you own the Bosch?
Considering going from a DeWalt 12" slider to this, mostly for the space savings. Interested in any other insight you can share. Thanks!

They're BOTH heavy as Fffff... if the 10" was appreciably lighter than the 12" That makes sense. As is, what's the point, if you're gonna break you back either way, you might as well have the larger cut range.
I guess some people might say, well RPMS, but honestly, given how many teeth they can cram on 12" blades nowadays, that's not a very good argument either.

Have to wait a couple of weeks, but we'll see if it's worth it.
I have the Bosch 12" and like everything except the side to side deflection when extended and the sheer weight of it. I mounted it to the gravity-rise setup and only regret it when they need to be seperated. Figure i'll try this delta for the "portability" (~9lbs less).

Yep, I was looking at the weight there's 1lbs difference. Might as well buy the 12" for extra cut capacity.
The backend is the same depth so I don't see the benefits of getting the 10" other than price, which if you're getting this type of saw, paying extra for the 12" is worth it.
If I were to get a 10" miter, I'd rather get the Delta because of the shadow light on the cut line.
