It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

AT&T Internet 1000
Includes unlimited internet data$59.99
$20 off for 12 months with bundle-$20.00

Internet subtotal
$39.99

AT&T sucks monkey balls. They just ripped me off of $3.33. They are so penny pinching. Since my billing ends on March 24th, but my 12 months agreement ends on March 14th ($10 off for 12 months (Expires Mar 15, 2020)). I called told them that their system sucks. But they got the last laugh. Just plain stupid. Makes me think twice if I want to continue with their internet service and if they deserve my money. Even if I ended my internet service on the 14th I still lose out on the $3.33. It's a matter of principal now. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
yup, i noticed that too. happened when i upgraded from 100->300 as well. it's so painful having to deal with them that i just paid the few bucks.

I went to chat and mentioned I heard had new internet planned pricing. The chat rep said they could move my pricing to the new pricing of 1000 I was pay 70 for it before to 40. Took a little work since I was bundled and contracted but they surely did it!
You got a good rep via chat. I had chat with someone within the hour of this thread came up. I got bupkis. All she did was notated my request on my account. That don't do jack anyways. =/

i did that too and it didnt make a difference. are you using the att gateway in passthrough mode? or are you using the tmobile router as just an AP? did you happen to flash the tmobile router to merlin or are you using the original tmobile router software?
One data point here. I have the same Tmobile router and I flashed it with Merline software. I set at&t modem in passthrough mode. Under 5GHz wifi, my MacBook pro can only get around 500m up/down. When connected to the ethernet port with a cat 5e or cat 6 cable, I can get around 850m up/down. At modem diagnostic page speed test, I can get 980m up/down.

I have tried a couple times .. they have offered me zero in spite of competition in my area. I will just change to xfinity to get their promo and go back and forth if they are unwilling to negotiate.

Thanks, everyone! Rep at first couldn't do anything, then I suggested the drop/raise thing. She dropped it down to 300mbps for me and at first it wouldn't let her or me immediately change it back to 1gb, but I followed the link in the OP while logged in and it showed my plan as 300mbps and allowed me to add the $50 plan to the cart and finalize it.

I am currently in contract and the contract ends in June. Can I upgrade to 1000 mbps without getting penalized?
Yes. I just signed up 2 months ago and was able to upgrade without any penalty.

It looks like the unlimited data is "$30" value. I have a feeling after 12 months, whatever promo will have a data tier to it.

Doesn't no contract mean that they can just jack up the price whenever they want? That's what Time Warner/Spectrum did to me for the better part of a decade. I had to bend over and take it because they were the only game in town. I guess I'll risk it? I'm 7 months into 2nd AT&T contract. Currently paying $50 for 300/300

For those on existing $70 (no equipment fee) or $80 (with equipment fee) 1Gbps plan on 12-months contract, I see there is an ETF associated.

Given this new plan is no contract, how are you able to downgrade to the lower speed (even if it is just for a day to upgrade back to the 1Gbps $50 promo price) without affecting the ETF?

Edit: no luck trying between two different chat agents and one phone rep. Started service in Dec 2019 end and told that I cannot get this as I am already on the highest tier. Is downgrade / upgrade online worth the risk?

I'm one hell of a negotiator? I also have my internet bundled with DirecTV and have AT&T Wireless service.
