It looks like AT&T may be starting a new promotion for the start of the month. I just went to my account to see what is offered since my 100mbps fiber plan is about up. Only 100mbps($45/mo) and 1000mbps($39.99/mo) is offered, no 300mbps is offered, but it was available a day ago for $40, and I saw an ad for it on TV today. If you have AT&T internet, check the plans offered in your account dashboard. There is no mention of equipment charges, but this is for a bundle. Southern states.

AT&T Internet 1000
Includes unlimited internet data$59.99
$20 off for 12 months with bundle-$20.00

Now it is showing 1Gb for $69.99 Confused

Now it is back to call in to order. I guess I will call tomorrow. Did anyone get the $39.99 price outright with no fees??
The $39.99 deal is for a bundle with TV or phone. Otherwise you should get the $49.99 price. The reference link if you need to show them: https://www.att.com/internet/fiber

Tell them you should get the no fee/no data cap that you had, if you did.

A post from a few days back:
"3 Year ATT Fiber customer in the Atlanta Area:
Called and after some "I'll just cancel" talk, they gave me the $49.99 option - no equipment fee"

Check the wiki for others successful post.

Thanks. Does cell phone count for bundle? Or only landline?

Both. From post #432.
"I'm a current AT&T Internet and wireless customer in the SF Bay Area.
I called (800) 288-2020 and got $39.99 per month for the first year with no equipment fee. After the first year, the price will be $59.99 per month with no equipment fee."

Thanks. I know I could read over the 43 pages and probably dig, but I figured you probably already had the info. Wink

I'm a current AT&T 1000 Internet (1.5 years) and wireless customer (10+ years with National Discount) in Texas. Was paying $70 per month ($10 off with bundle). I called (800) 288-2020 and was able to get $59.99 per month locked in with no equipment fee. They said I would need to be cancelled for 2 years in order to get the new customer pricing. Better than nothing.

Finally called in. I got $49.99 a month. They wouldn't give any more discount to bundle with my wireless service. I will have to see if that is $39.99 plus $10 eq fee or $49.99 no fee.

I had to miss out on these great deals due to fear of COVID-19, letting the tech in to install.

2 years ago tried to sign up for fiber as I kept getting letters in the mail that said I could get it. The website said I could get it.
I currently had DSL.

I signed up and the appointment was a no call, no show. I call and complain, they reschedule. 2nd appointment was a no call, no show.
I called again and they said I cant get fiber.
I still get letters from ATT that I can get fiber. ATT is horrible.
They upped my 18 meg DSL from $32 to $65 and refused to lower it. I had to switch to Comcast which is $42 all in for 50 meg.
I swear ATT just wants to go out of business by pissing off all their customers. I would avoid getting this unless you are stuck with ATT.

As soon as Elon comes out with his internet, I will drop all the locals and switch.

Lots of folks seem to have only received the first $100 gift card. I was in the same boat and after I got the "please register for your gift card" email and did so, then waited a week and didn't see the 2nd $100 gift card invite so I called the Rewards Center and they "found a promo" they could sign me up for that was worth another $100 gift card. I received them both 2wks ago and have now converted them to Amazon Gift Card Balance since otherwise 9/2020 and 10/2020 they are expiring.

Call them and hope they can still find a good 2nd promo to slot you under.

What type of equipment is included for $10 per month? Any way to opt out of the equipment and provide my own?

Currently being quoted $49.99/month for Internet 1000 and additional $10/month for equipment.

I am located in the Bay Area. Not a wireless customer.

The equipment fee is for their gateway which you have to use, can't get around it. You can use your own modem after it, but you need the gateway first. If you were an AT&T customer and had the gateway you could try to get a CS rep to drop the fee, sometimes they do, sometimes not. If you are a new customer then go the online route and get the rewards. Rewards and a CB site should get you close to $300 and sorta offset the fee for a couple years. And make sure there is no installation fee, since they brought back equipment fees, they may try to bring back the installation fee(if they are doing in-home installations in your area).

Looking to switch my ISP. I currently have an ATT land line for work and ATT TV Now but one of the older grandfathered plans available. Online it looks like internet 1000 is $49.99+$10 equipment fee for the first year. Offering 2x $100 gift card and cash back site is $75 for Internet sign up. Reading the last few pages I see mention of bundling discounts to save some more. Logging into my account doesn't seem to offer me anything. Whats my best course of action to sign up, should I order online and then call into CS right after or call in first (don't want to miss the $75 cash back site)?
