I bought at this price around BF but returned, buffering issues and crashes. I have been using Roku Premier at the same spot for more than a year and never had buffering.
This provides a UI and many native android TVs apps. I have a nvidia shield and just got his for a guest room/backup. I love it it consolidates all devices plus is great for remote gaming steam link and nvidia GeForce now. Also has built in google cast functionality.
I would get this if you want to install and use app on device (specifically using sideload method). Example, I use this box to run StbEmu for watching cheap IPTV and is working great. Much better than having more expensive android box from eBay/Amazon.
With this box, you could add bluetooth devices, I have added Bose NC 700 headphones and a game controller.
Chromecast works exclusives with you phone and support limited apps supporting Chromecast.
P.S. If you get this, the latest update to Android 9 causes bluetooth disconnections frequently. It seems to have stabilized but still happens.

I have the original Mi Box. It is ok, not great, not terrible. Less reliable than Roku or Fire TV IMO.

Are you saying you can effectively play games on this via Geforce Now?

I don't have the device to test. According to this link. It should be supported. https://9to5google.com/2020/02/04...ndroid-tv/. I'll update once I have it.
No, haven't tried it with a wired connection
