Glycerin is more cushioned. This wave rider compares more to the ghost. Less cushioned, lighter. Wave rider 20s gave me heel pain so switched to glycerin then on to Altras.

The 22 were a bit narrow and I had to get wider size. Keep in mind they are narrower then other brands.

Before Altras I ran in Vibram Fivefingers learning how to run naturally barefoot style. Fell in love with running in them until I developed big toe pain. Bought Altra Olympus 3.0 trail running shoes which are zero drop (as all Altras are). Absolutely love them. They feel like a stiffer and more cushioned Lone Peak with a toe ramp which helps alleviate pressure on the big toe joint. I use them for running on crushed gravel trail and some road. I'll need to look for shoes to run on roads but for now these shoes have saved my feet

Hrrrm.... on the Mizuno sight, there appeared to be only one option with blue - "NAVY BLAZER/SKYDIVER", which is what I compared to. I didn't realize that the 3rd color option, which in the little diagonally cut square *looked* orange/white to me, was actually "CAMPANULA-SILVER", which I guess is what this shoe is, so, my mistake, but they could have made that little square color option a bit more representative of the actual shoe colors!

Boring colors for running, but I can't pass up almost $50 off...soo.... I'm in.
